Andrea Loreto

Andrea Loreto is an Italian entrepreneur and certified meditation teacher who has lived and worked throughout Europe and North America. He holds an advanced degree in business administration from the University of Florence. Andrea is the creator of an award-winning craft distillery, a founding member of the board of directors for the Tergar USA meditation community, and the inventor of the Pienavita Institute. This diverse background allows him to blend intercultural awareness, practical organizational skills, and instructional expertise.

After nearly 30 years of experience in entrepreneurship, Andrea founded the Pienavita Institute with the mission of promoting “flourishing for life.” The Institute helps older adults unlock their full potential through meditation training and life coaching. Participants appreciate Andrea’s down-to-earth approach and his ability to inspire transformative change through a deep appreciation of impermanence and the power of shifting perspectives.

Inspired by his main teacher, Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, Andrea believes meditation should be a part of everyday life, not confined to the meditation cushion. The philosophy that anything in daily life can be used as an opportunity to wake up to our innate basic goodness guides his work in supporting individuals on their meditative journey.

Andrea currently lives in Oregon, USA, with his wife and son, where he spends his free time scouring stores for antique cookbooks, swimming at dawn, and dreaming of hiking the pilgrimage trails.
